Crowns and Bridges: In certain cases a tooth needs more than a filling because it is fractured or a cavity is too large for a simple filling. In these cases we provide a "helmet" to cover the tooth that looks better than the tooth it replaces. These crowns or "caps" are now made without metal and are stronger than historically when metal was used. They can provide years of service and are esthetically pleasing as well. A bridge is used to replace a missing tooth and is several crowns fused together. You will always be given options as to how a specific problem can be treated.
